Holly Bobo: Parents Still Have Many Questions

<P>Don Franks, pastor of the grieving family of Holly Bobo, has been by their side since the disappearance of the promising young nursing student almost three years ago. </P><P>That time has been anything but easy and Franks has been there to witness the ups and downs of family life ever since tragedy struck the household.</P><P>Franks told <a href="http://www.wkrn.com/story/24884836/holly-bobos-family-waits-for-answers-in-daughters-disappearance">WKRN</A>, “Every day is a difficult day and of course when I having things go on like we had go on, it’s a roller coaster for them. It really is”.</P><P>Since their daughter was taken from her home in Parsons, Tenn., Holly’s parents have been left with many questions. </P><P>The <a href="http://www.webpronews.com/missing-student-nurse-murder-charge-filed-in-case-2014-03/?utm_source=Life_sidebar">accusation made against Zachary Adams</A> has been baffling to both family and the community, who’ve observed multiple search warrants executed in recent days. </P><P>Adams had not been previously named as a suspect in Bobo’s disappearance and speaking on behalf of her family, Franks said that they were not aware of any connection between the missing nursing student and Adams.</P><BLOCKQUOTE lang=en class=twitter-tweet readability="8"><P>Zachary Adams now stands accused of kidnapping and murder in the Holly Bobo case. It is located nearly 15 miles from where Bobo was taken.</P><P>Though charges of murder and aggravated kidnapping have been filed against Adams in relation to Bobo’s death, the man already in custody.</P><P>Adams is currently being held on a $1 million bond for aggravated assault and drug-related charges. He was arrested at the Benton County home of his girlfriend.</P><P>It <a href="http://abcnews.go.com/US/break-case-missing-tennessee-nursing-student-holly-bobo/story?id=22784436">has been recently reported</A> that he will be arraigned for the assault and drug charges on March 11th.</P><P>Even though plenty of questions remain regarding Adam’s alleged role in Holly Bobo’s death and location where her body were found, Franks says that her parents are “very thankful for everything law enforcement is doing.”</P><P>He commended the investigators on their “very hard and diligent” work. </P><P>Though Holly Bobo’s parents must continue to wait for answers in the case, there is now a greater chance at arriving at a place of truth and finally understanding how and why their daughter disappeared.</P><BLOCKQUOTE lang=en class=twitter-tweet readability="8"><P>Just finished the silent drive up from Atlanta. Teen Who Sued Parents Denied Support

<P>The eighteen-year-old girl who sued her parents for child support and tuition has lost her case. The judge’s reasoning for denying her support was that the case, if won, would set a bad precedent on limits for parenting, which could lead to a flood of these kinds of cases. </P><P><a href="http://www.webpronews.com/teen-sues-parents-for-tuition-and-living-expenses-2014-03" title="wpn">Rachel Canning </A>insisted in court that her parents kicked her out of their house 2 days before her eighteenth birthday back in October. Her parents, including former Lincoln Park Police Chief Sean Canning, say that the teen left on her own because she didn’t want to follow basic rules of their household like doing chores, being respectful, and the curfew, according to <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/03/05/new-jersey-teen-sues-parents-for-support-claiming-was-kicked-out-home/" title="fox news">Fox News</A>. </P><P>Ms. Canning was asking for $654 per week in child support and for her parents to pay tuition to her catholic high school for the remainder of the year. A new case, tentatively scheduled for April 22nd, will determine if her parents will have to pay for her college or not. Rachel has already been accepted to several colleges for next year. </P><P>The judge in the case, Morris County Court Judge Peter Bogaard, did rule that her parents will keep Rachel on their health insurance policy and that they will continue to contribute to her college savings account. </P><P>Sean Canning paints a picture of a bit of a spoiled brat, saying that their expectations were very reasonable, perhaps even too lenient. </P><P>“I’m a liberal, liberal parent,” he said. “I wish I could have grown up in my house. I was tougher on my cops at work than I’ve ever been at my home, that’s for sure.”</P><P>He just wishes the whole thing was over, and that Rachel would come back home. Her parents both want her to be a part of their family again. </P><P>“This whole thing is just destroying our family,” he said. “We love our daughter. She’s our pride and joy. The door is wide open. We want her to come home.”</P><P>What do you think? Rachel Canning: Teen Sues Parents Who Spoiled Her

<P>Rachel Canning thought being an adult meant she could do what she want and somehow her parents were just going to fit the bill. </P><P>As many actual adults know, this is hardly how reality works. Canning learned this lesson the hard way when <a href="http://abcnews.go.com/US/rachel-canning-loses-suit-make-parents-pay-high/story?id=22768908">she decided to sue her parents</A>. </P><P>According to Canning’s version of events, her parents kicked her out once she hit 18 years of age, stopped paying for her Catholic high school tuition, and are also refusing to foot the bill for college.</P><P>Canning’s parents, Sean and Elizabeth, are telling a different story. They say they didn’t</EM> kick their 18-year-old daughter out; she left voluntarily because she didn’t want to obey the “house rules”. This meant a curfew and helping out around the house.</P><P>Canning had no interest in making her own way in the world as a grown up, still seeing her survival as her parent’s obligation to fund well into adulthood. She hired a lawyer to sue her parents in an effort to force them to pay for her schooling and provide her hundreds of dollars per week to live off. </P><P>It either never occurred to her or she flat out refused to consider either seeking grants and loans for schooling and finding a job to support herself.</P><P>The highly bizarre case was brought to court in Morristown, N.J.where a judge ruled on Tuesday that Canning’s parents do not</EM> have to pay her high school tuition. </P><P>The judge delayed ruling on the matter of college and asked whether or not it was wise to try and set precedent regarding house rules for adult children living at home.</P><P>The case will not be settled until April 22nd. </P><P>In the meantime, the internet has already begun to weigh in on the matter. Popular consensus among social media is that Sarah Canning is a “spoiled brat” trying to mooch off of her parents while disrespecting them in their own house.
